Job Summary

At Richelieu Foods, we make Great Food from Great People. We are seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator I in our PreMix department. The successful candidate will assist the PreMix Lead with production, product quality, and ensuring smooth, efficient operation of mixing processes, meeting operational demands.

Essential Functions
  • Request ingredients based on the BOM from the material handler.
  • Combine materials in proper sequence, sign off on ingredient addition, and process for correct time as per the mixing system (WIP/Formula Sheet).
  • Operate equipment safely, accurately scale ingredients, maintain mixer schedule, and follow GMPs, HACCP, FSI, SQF standards.
  • Conduct product inspections to ensure specifications are met.
  • Adjust machine settings as needed and interpret formulas accurately.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment and work area throughout the shift.
  • Work effectively with team members and complete batch documentation.
  • Assist in training helpers or assistant mixers.
  • Follow all GMPs and safety procedures outlined by Richelieu Foods.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills and ability to read WIP schedules
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally
  • Effective communication skills in English; bilingual skills are a plus
  • Food manufacturing experience preferred
  • Comfortable in cold environments and able to work occasional Saturdays
Physical Demands & Postural Requirements

Light to medium physical demand; frequent standing and walking, occasional bending or stooping, lifting up to 5 lbs rarely, with occasional lifting of 5 lbs on up to shoulder, overhead, or carrying short distances.
