Job summary

Dexter Magnetic Technologies is seeking a Surface Grinder Machinist to set up and operate Okamoto and Studer grinders, producing precision components to exact specifications. You will interpret engineering drawings, perform machine setups, and conduct precision inspections to ensure quality.

You must maintain tight tolerances of ±0.0001 and follow 5S and safety standards on a clean, organized shop floor while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of machining experience.
• Able to hold tight tolerances of ±0.0001 and interpret drawings/specifications.
• Experience with inspection equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with 5S and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Okamoto surface grinders to produce precision components.
• Set up and operate Studer OD/ID grinders as needed for external and internal grinding.
