Job summary

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• At least 1 year experience running power saws in a production setting.
• Basic math concepts needed for measurements and tolerances.
• Ability to solve practical problems with variable conditions.
• Ability to interpret written, oral or diagram instructions.

Responsibilities

• Set up and safely operate Cold Saws and Power Horizontal bandsaws.
• Translate blueprint information to the workpiece.
• Select speeds/feeds, tooling and sequences for materials.
• Complete labor reports, material issues, kit lists, scrap reports and material moves.
• Understand production schedules and track releases.
• Routine maintenance of saws and related equipment, blade changes, coolant checks, area cleanliness.
• Perform deburring, filing, grinding and polishing on sawn parts.
