Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) in Peterborough, NH seeks a 2nd Shift Operator to operate machinery and produce precision bearing components per required drawings and quality standards.

You will follow set-up cards, replace tooling, and use gauges to verify parts while maintaining safety and OSHA compliance. Responsibilities include troubleshooting minor issues, recording inspections, and moving materials as needed.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate required machines or equipment to produce a diversified range of parts on short or long run work, and exacting finish specifications.
• Follow established procedures, verbal instructions, and information obtained from set-up cards and layout sheets to ensure parts are manufactured per process and drawing requirements.
• Replace worn tooling and adjust machines as needed.
• Use micrometers, verniers, optical comparator, microscope, and gauges to set-up equipment and check work.
• Review calibration of measuring equipment and patrol machines using the 4-bin system.
• Operate automation equipment and provide minor troubleshooting within the work area as assigned.
• Diagnose and correct operating difficulties, maintain required records, and report unusual conditions to the assigned leader.
• Keep work area clean and orderly, observe all safety rules and regulations, conforming to OSHA regulations.
• Move materials, parts, and containers as required to complete duties.
