Job summary

LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan seeks a Machinist 1-2 for second shift. The role covers machining and non-machining tasks with a 15% shift premium and a retention bonus for new 2nd shift hires. You will read drawings, set up and operate multiple tools, and help maintain quality per LECO standards.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; Journeyman’s Certificate is preferred, with 5+ years experience welcomed. Overtime may be scheduled as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read engineering drawings, routers, and use precision measuring tools.
• Attention to quality and ability to record data accurately.

Responsibilities

• React to out-of-control conditions per LECO Quality Management Plan.
• Initiate actions to prevent non-conformity.
• Identify and record product quality problems and verify implemented solutions.
• Inspect parts manufactured and perform related data entry.
• Set up and operate bench, drill press, lathe, mill, and CNC tools.
• Assist with material handling and miscellaneous shop duties.
