Columbus McKinnon is seeking a machine operator for Department 44 responsible for operating simple machines and performing assembly, drilling, tapping, grinding, painting and handwork. The role requires careful adherence to safety and quality standards in a manufacturing setting.

The successful candidate will interpret prints and work orders, perform quality checks, and maintain tooling. The position is based in Chattanooga, TN, and requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and wear PPE as

Qualifications

• Interpret manufacturing prints and work order packets.
• Sharpen chasers.
• Perform basic CMBIS transactions.
• Interpret drawings and work orders to set up equipment and run acceptable products.
• Troubleshoot and correct minor problems in this work center.

Responsabilités

• Operate Department 44 machines (hand tools, paint line, tap and thread) as required.
• Perform and document all quality checks on any machine in the department.
• Check, record, and adjust coolant concentrations and change or replace tooling.
• Wear proper personal protective equipment as required for assigned machines.
• Complete forms as required by work center.
• Perform any other duties as required.
