Job summary

Alianza in Gastonia, NC is seeking a dependable Powder Coat Painter for the 2nd shift to help prepare, coat, and finish metal components in a safety-conscious manufacturing environment.

You will apply powder coating with electrostatic spray, load and unload parts, operate curing ovens, inspect finished products, and maintain equipment and workspace. Strong teamwork and ability to follow instructions are essential.

Starting pay is $17.00 per hour DOE, with schedule Mon–Thu 5:30 PM–4:00 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in powder coating, industrial painting, manufacturing, or related production environment preferred.
• Technical or vocational training in industrial finishing a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to perform work accurately while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, masking, and completing other surface preparation tasks as needed.
• Apply powder coating using manual electrostatic spray equipment while maintaining consistent coverage and quality.
• Load and unload parts throughout the powder coating process.
• Operate curing ovens according to established procedures and production requirements.
• Inspect finished products to verify they meet quality standards and complete touch-ups or rework when appropriate.
• Clean, inspect, and maintain powder coating equipment and work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required PPE guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to industrial equipment, moving machinery, dust, noise, varying temperatures, and paint or coating materials. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn while performing assigned duties.
