Job summary

A leading company in Manchester, NH is seeking a PCB Assembler II for a contract-to-hire position. The role involves soldering and assembling printed circuit board assemblies, performing repairs, and ensuring high-quality results. Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

PCB Assembler II
Contract to Hire
2nd shift - Monday - Thursday
Location: Manchester,NH
3:15 pm to 1:45 am

Summary
Solder and assemble through-hole (THT) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.

• Perform simple repair of printed circuit board assemblies
• Perform modification work to circuit boards including trace cuts and adding jumpers
• Hand-solder SMT components per specifications
• Hand-solder THT components per specifications
• Operate equipment such as, aqueous cleaner and component location equipment
• Assist, as required, with the operation of wave solder or selective solder machines
• Wire and solder prototypes and other complex assemblies of unique or unusual design per applicable specifications.
• Cut and form (prep) components
• Perform manual placement of THT components
• Assemble chassis components using a variety of hardware
• Assemble electromechanical devices using a variety of hardware
• Recommend changes in documentation to ensure high quality results
• Provide limited direction to PCB Assembler 1 and 2 personnel
• Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, and small print
• Advanced component identification skills
• Soldering skills that meet IPC-A-610 Class 3
• Ability to perform component prep using hand tools, tooling and all automatic equipment
• Ability to assemble medium to complex electronic assemblies
• Ability to utilize SN 63, SN 96 and HMP during soldering
• Ability to perform simple rework (THT/SMT)
• Ability to use rework soldering machine
• Ability to assist in the selective solder and wave solder process
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality results
• Ability to work in a high volume, high detail work environment
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
• Ability to manipulate and work with tedious and small parts
• Ability to initiate projects and tasks as required to fulfill goals and deadlines
• Strong decision-making skills utilizing sound judgment and thorough processes
• Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members

Required Experience & Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of SMT and Thru-hole components
• Pre-employment drug test and background check is required
