2nd shift Part Time Summer Help - Packer/dumper

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, this position performs manual packaging functions such as packaging pouches, tubs, cups, or pails into boxes. It involves placing empty trays onto filling lines, making and labeling boxes by hand, and performing other operational tasks as required by management.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Feeding trays and containers into fillers; packaging trays, cups, and pouches into boxes; closing plastic liners in pails and bulk boxes; labeling and stacking on pallets.
• Assembling boxes by hand using a hand taper, inserting plastic liners, and labeling cases; preparing pails and drums for filling with labels and liners.
• Processing re-work and in-process re-work.
• Maintaining work area cleanliness, including trash removal, spill cleanup, and cleaning tools and parts to prevent contamination.
• Ensuring proper storage and handling of cleaning solutions to prevent contamination.
• Complying with GMP, safety procedures, company policies, quality policies, and HACCP protocols.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Experience in feeding trays and containers, packaging, and preparing pails and drums.
• Experience with re-work processes and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Knowledge of GMP and safety standards.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to follow verbal instructions from supervisors and co-workers.
• Ability to insert up to 30 trays per minute into fillers and lid or stack pails at a rate of 12 per minute.
