Location: Waukesha

Employment Type: Hourly

Shift: Second

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, this position performs manual packaging functions such as packaging pouches, tubs, cups, or pails into boxes. Responsibilities include placing empty trays onto filling lines, making and labeling boxes by hand, and performing other duties as required by management.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Feeding trays and containers into fillers and packaging into boxes.
• Sealing plastic liners in pails and bulk boxes, and stacking on pallets.
• Hand-making boxes, preparing pails and drums with labels and liners.
• Processing re-work and in-process re-work.
• Maintaining cleanliness of work area, tools, and equipment to prevent contamination.
• Following GMP, safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Relevant experience in packaging and handling materials, familiarity with GMP and safety procedures, and ability to follow instructions are preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to follow verbal instructions from supervisors and co-workers.
• Ability to insert trays at a rate of up to 30 trays per minute, and lid or stack pails at 12 per minute.

Physical Demands:

Requires physical strength and dexterity, with the ability to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Work Environment:

Shifts typically last 8-12 hours, with potential for additional hours, including weekends. Employees must wear PPE as required and may work outdoors, in adverse temperatures, or in confined spaces.
