Job description

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Claiborne Senior Living, LLC in Alpharetta, Georgia is responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medication to our senior residents. This is a full-time, hourly healthcare/medical position, with the CMA serving as an individual contributor. The role involves providing compassionate care and assistance to residents, maintaining accurate documentation and records. The position reports to the Director of Nursing and offers a competitive hourly wage of $15.50 to $17.00, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications according to prescribed orders, complying with state regulations and facility policies
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration
• Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects, reporting any concerns
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing
• Keep medication cart and storage areas clean and safe
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements:

• Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in Georgia
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience, preferably with seniors
• Knowledge of medication administration and documentation
• Excellent communication skills and compassionate attitude
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions
• Background check and drug screening required
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within a set timeframe
