Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Iowa is seeking a skilled Painter II to prep, coat, and inspect parts used in our display cases, refrigeration systems, and related components.

You will work on the paint line, maintain a clean, safe workspace, and collaborate with teammates to ensure quality throughout the production process.

Qualifications

• Experience prepping parts for powder coating or painting.
• Attention to detail and quality control skills.
• Ability to work at multiple stations.
• Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prep parts for powder coating or wet painting by cleaning with lacquer thinner and rags.
• Hang prepped parts on the paint line.
• Apply powder coat to bare metal.
• Remove painted parts from the paint line and match parts with the correct documentation.
• Identify poor quality parts.
• Identify maintenance needed on equipment and tooling.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we are looking for

Paint is responsible for prepping, cleaning, and checking the quality of parts before and after parts travel through the paint line.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
