Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Columbus, NE is seeking a WSK/WSH Packer for the 2nd shift (Mon–Thu, 3:00pm–1:30am). You will pack surface mount resistors into reels or bulk packages, handling types such as WSL, WSLM, WSK, WSC, WSF, and WSH.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 1–3 months manufacturing experience, with the ability to stand for the shift. Overtime is available and safety compliance is expected.

Qualifications

• One to three months manufacturing experience
• Ability to stand during entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Operates two packing machines, weigh scale, bar code printer and mainframe terminal.
• Set up computer to packing and testing specifications noted on production card.
• Set counters.
• Run out leader tape.
• Places resistors into syntron bowl (Test pack or Tokyo Weld machines) or load resistor sticks to table (stick to tape machines).
• Starts machine by pressing keyboard button.
• Operates machine until the quantity desired is packed.
• Runs out carrier tape tail to wind around end of reel.
• Removes finished reel from machine.
• If order quantity requires more than what is on reel, operator goes through previous procedures.
