Job summary

Tim’s Cascade Snacks, a subsidiary of UTZ Quality Foods, is hiring a Packer for our Algona, WA facility. This 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 2:15 pm - 10:45 pm) involves inspecting, packing and boxing products, with some Saturdays as needed. Training included; cross-functional teamwork emphasized.

Payrate is $19.89 per hour plus a $0.50 shift differential. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) match, profit sharing, and PTO/holidays. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Requires knowledge of product quality and basic operations learned in 3 months of training.
• Ability to communicate production issues to co-workers and supervision.
• Experience in a food processing facility preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to repetitively lift up to 12 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Packs bags and/or barrels of product into cartons and cases.
• Assembles cartons, applies stickers, and packs cases while ensuring package quality.
• Inspects product quality and alerts supervisor of problems.
• Repacks products as needed and loads boxes onto skids.
• Cleans packaging lines and transfer belts using tools and cleaners.
• Trains new Packers and supports packaging flow.
• Performs other duties to support department objectives and food safety.
