Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Utility Worker for the 2nd shift (3pm–11pm) to handle general production area housekeeping, packing, case making and inspections. Responsibilities include following safety policies, packaging according to specs and assisting with training. Strong communication, reliability and ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance.
• Computer usage and typing skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including able to communicate with internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions.
• Collaborates well with others and contributes to group objectives.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety, health, quality GMP policies and company procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement projects as assigned.
• Visually inspect finished product and ensure correct case sealing.
• Pack bottles per customer specification.
• Operate case making equipment safely and perform setup checks.
• Maintain hot/cold glue tanks and perform glue pattern checks.
• Assist with training permanent and temporary workforce.
