Job summary

Phillips Pet is seeking a Warehouse Trainer for Outbound Operations on the 2nd shift. The role trains new and current staff across outbound functions including Picker, Repack, Freezer, and Loader, delivering structured, safety-focused instruction to boost productivity and accuracy.

Successful candidates will coach, mentor, and monitor progress through the 90‑day probation, participate in safety programs, and support ongoing training initiatives to maintain high performance.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be highly organized with strong communication skills in both written and verbal form.
• Experience in warehouse environments, particularly outbound picking functions, is preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification on required material handling equipment.
• Good problem-solving and analytical abilities with accuracy under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Train new and current employees in all outbound functions: Picker, Repack, Freezer, and Loader.
• Deliver clear, structured training that helps new associates reach or exceed performance standards.
• Retrain employees as needed to support productivity, accuracy, and safety goals.
• Communicate progress and performance updates to Outbound Supervisors during the 90‑day probation period.
• Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and support for a positive training experience.
• Contribute feedback for 30-, 60-, and 90‑day reviews of new associates.
• Foster and model a strong safety culture by ensuring proper PPE use and hazard reporting.
• Participate actively in all safety programs and perform additional duties as assigned.
