The role emphasizes lean practices, safety, and flawless execution, with a 9/80 schedule and opportunities to develop leadership bench strength for new programs.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 5+ years manufacturing operations experience.
• Direct aerospace/defense manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, ECOs, and test procedures.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge: 5S, value‑stream mapping, standard work, waste reduction.
• Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence in a high‑rigor environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on leadership including performance management, scheduling, training and development.
• Regularly meets with department leads to review standard work and provide guidance.
• Develop leadership bench strength for upcoming programs and attrition.
• Lead root‑cause and corrective‑action efforts (RCCA) and promote continuous improvement.
• Ensure materials flow to each work cell and drive improvements.
• Lead longer term quality initiatives to completion and ensure standard work is achievable.
• Create Job Safety Analysis and review annually; collaborate with Lean leaders on process improvements.
