Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who desires to join a growing organization and has an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work.
This incumbent will be a hands‑on shift leader responsible for assisting the site’s production supervisor/manager with end‑to‑end supply, quality, fabrication, and technical performance for all industrial gas turbine components. Additionally, the incumbent will assist with continuous, efficient training for all current and future operations staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Incumbent will be responsible for conducting daily, weekly, and/or monthly shift operational briefs. (Shift Change, Stand‑downs, etc.)
- Lead a team of hourly associates in the safe execution of assigned quality repairs and delivery.
- Ensure all shift employees follow and perform all repairs in accordance with the provided technical specifications.
- Proactively assist employees with all shift’s problem‑solving and quality concerns to find a resolution.
- Ensure that labor management and time & attendance reports are completed daily and accurately.
- Escalate and collaborate with department manager on all employee issues or concerns.
- Provide the next shift leader (1st Shift) with detailed status updates on completed work and any anticipated work.
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly equipment maintenance checklists are executed and completed by all shift employees.
- Responsible for adhering to and enforcing all PPE initiatives and site safety protocols.
- Continuously monitor shift work progress and prioritize manpower and resources to achieve shift production goals.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement initiatives, and adhere with all division and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure work all areas maintain and practice good housekeeping standards as well as comply and adhere with ISO standards.
- Perform other associated departmental duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications and Education
- High School diploma or GED with extensive, relevant industry turbine experience.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s in engineering (Mechanical) is highly preferred
- 3‑6 yrs working in the gas turbine industry or heavy rotating industrial equipment
- Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory and mentoring experience; manage production schedules and tasks.
