Job summary

Zimmer Biomet is seeking an NDT Inspector to conduct nondestructive examinations of medical devices and related equipment. The role involves setting up equipment, performing FPI evaluations, interpreting indications, and reporting results.

The position requires training in Liquid Penetrant Inspection, certification for the inspection type, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Travel up to 5% is expected; a $500 sign-on bonus is offered for new hires.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Formal training in Liquid Penetrant Inspection (12 hours) plus 240 hours on-the-job training.
• Certification for the specific type of inspection and for the products required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate equipment.
• Conduct routine FPI evaluations.
• Read and interpret indications and evaluate against codes; capable of welding and reworking casted devices.
• Organize and report NDT results.
• Provide on-the-job training to less qualified personnel.
• Communicate with engineers about product defects.
• Record data and maintain accurate records.
