Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in East Longmeadow, MA is seeking a Kesel Milling Operator to run automatic CNC milling machines and mill teeth on carbon steel and bi-metal backing coil material. The position offers a Monday–Friday 3:15pm–11:45pm shift with a pay range shown and a $500 sign-on bonus after 90 days.

Expect responsibilities include precise setups, verifying coils, replacing cutters, maintaining equipment and work area, reporting defects, and ensuring quality.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers.
• Ability to use numbers including decimals.
• Light physical effort; lifting/pushing 5–25 pounds.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

What You’ll Do

As a Kesel Milling Operator, you’ll be part of our Stanley Black & Decker team located in East Longmeadow MA. You’ll get to:

General Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of duties to set up and operate a group of automatic milling / CNC milling machines to mill various types of teeth on several sizes and types of carbon steel and bi-metal backing coil material.

Duties:

• Exacting set ups to close tolerances
• Check coils to be milled and coil tag for record of previous operation
• Replace cutters after grind
• Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition
• Report any material defects or discrepancies and equipment malfunctions to Supervisor
• Responsible for quality of work performed
