Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Mill Operator for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM–2:00 AM, Monday–Thursday) in Blanchester, OH. The role involves setting up and operating a single-blade saw, reading production schedules, and ensuring material meets quality specs.

You will feed, inspect, and stack material, maintain a clean work area, and follow safety rules and LOTO procedures. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), at least 3 months of saw experience, and basic math skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• At least 3 months of experience using saws or similar equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a single-blade saw.
• Read production scheduling sheets and identify required material.
• Feed material according to specifications.
• Perform setups according to specifications.
• Offload and stack material following procedures.
• Keep work area safe, clean and organized; ensure equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report issues.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products to ensure standards compliance.
• Follow safety and quality procedures including LOTO; participate in safety and CI programs.
