Qualifications

• Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
• Must pass a UAI AWS D1.1 welding test.
• Attention to detail in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes, tape measures, calipers, and basic tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Identify material types and gauges; read blueprints regularly.
• Follows safety policies and maintains quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and weld in 1-2 work centers.
• Weld components with fixtures and minimal supervision.
• Use fixtures, hand tools, and clamps for welding tasks.
• Interpret basic welding blueprints and symbols.
• Meet welding aesthetic and customer specifications.
• Maintain welding machines, wire, and gas supplies.
• Perform tank leak tests and inspect own work.
