Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a MIG Welder for a local client in Louisville, KY. The role pays $22.66 per hour and runs Monday–Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM as a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Overtime is mandatory, including weekends. Responsibilities include MIG welding of production parts, optional TIG repairs, loading parts into fixtures, inspecting work, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Welding experience required; must be able to weld thin aluminum.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass welding skills and certification testing.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on production parts and TIG welding repairs as needed.
• Load and position parts into welding fixtures.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and defects.
• Report equipment problems or quality issues to a supervisor.
• Keep track of completed and defective parts.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist with other production duties as needed.
• Work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, push, and pull throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with heat, cold, noise, welding fumes, and sparks.
