Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to join ACL Laboratories - South Sub: Core Lab in Illinois. This full-time role on the 2nd shift (2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.) includes rotating weekends and holidays and offers opportunities to contribute to high-volume testing with strong emphasis on accuracy and turnaround time.

You will perform, evaluate, and monitor laboratory tests, document calibration and quality control, assist phlebotomists, and help ensure compliance with accrediting

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Lab Technician or related field.
• ASCP BOC or AMT licensure must be obtained within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports findings.
• Performs and documents calibration and quality control of instruments.
• Assists in proficiency testing and handles specimen collection as needed.
• Supports phlebotomists and other staff to improve lab procedures.
