Job summary

Smith & Loveless is seeking 2nd Shift Mechanical Assembly workers to join our manufacturing team in Lenexa, KS. The role involves laying out, cutting, fitting sub-assemblies, and installing piping and equipment for wastewater pumping systems.

Training on 1st shift precedes a permanent 2nd shift schedule (4:00pm–12:30am, Mon–Fri). Candidate must have 1 year in mechanical assembly, the ability to read blueprints, and pass background, alcohol, and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and communicate clearly.
• 1 year experience in mechanical assembly.
• Must be able to pass a background check, alcohol screening, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety rules; keep work area clean and orderly.
• Read and follow verbal instructions, blueprints, and layouts.
• Lay out valves, gauges, fittings per drawings; assemble pipes and components.
• Safely operate overhead cranes to move products; use tape measures for cuts.
