Job Description

Bring your experience in manufacturing Mechanical Assembler skills to Harsco Rail, where you will have the opportunity to build a career with highly engineered products and join a great team that delivers these products across the globe.

As an Assembler (Mechanical), you will perform assembly or simple fitting of a repetitive nature using drawings or verbal instruction. This process requires ownership and knowledge of the proper usage of simple hand and power tools which are also deemed a requirement for job placement. Tool list available onsite for interview.


Qualifications

  • The ability to predictably and regularly attend work and to be punctual
  • The ability to read and understand documents and drawings
  • The ability to work cooperatively with others
  • The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers
  • The ability to perform several tasks at once
  • The ability to follow direction or instruction
  • The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information
  • The ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • The ability to stand/bend/stretch, etc.
  • The ability to build, construct and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures from drawings and/or instructions.
  • The ability to operate production equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drills, boring mills, etc.
  • The ability design and develop various types of jigs, fixtures, tools, gauges and dies.
  • The ability to determine metal analysis, make tool try-outs, trouble shoot and correct problems.
  • The ability to perform basic welding, brazing, and soldering.
  • You must have trade knowledge of the proper installation of working components.
  • You will have the ability to lay out work sequence using drawings with assistance or written instructions.
  • You will dismantle and reassemble parts of electrical and mechanical nature.
  • You will work in a neat, orderly and safe manor and demonstrate team based working relationship.

HARSCO Rail is hiring 2nd Shift at this time: 2:00 pm -10 :00 pm, there is a shift bonus for this role.
