Job summary

Emerson is seeking a detail-oriented individual in Marshalltown, IA, for a role focusing on safe material handling, rigging, and receiving. You will ensure documentation matches products, segregate non-conforming items, and maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventive maintenance.

The position requires ability to read technical specs, stand for long periods, and lift up to 40 lbs, with preferred experience in receiving, rigging, and Oracle systems. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical specifications and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct all job duties with Safety as a priority and in compliance with Safety Rules.
• Rigging and lifting parts for reception/material handling.
• Material handling using different types of PIV’s.
• Reception of goods into system, matching documentation with correct product.
• Segregate non-conforming materials according to work instructions.
• Maintain equipment with daily cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform all required testing, paperwork, quality records, documents, etc.
• Align with all safety and work instructions.
• Maintain clear communication within department.
• Maintain departmental housekeeping rules, standards, and clean/restock as the need arises.
• Reduce lead times and optimize production cycle to conform to "make-to-order".
• Maintain competitive cost associated assembly including labor, material, tooling, inventory, etc.
