Job summary

Qualifications

• Four to five years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides task leadership and technical expertise to the material handlers engaged in the timely and accurate movement and control of inventory.
• Receives and processes materials including handling, inspection, labeling and delivery of materials.
• Verifies items received against purchase orders, bills of lading and packing lists.
• Prepares shipping documentation and labels; schedules and coordinates pickup for outgoing shipments.
• Interacts with freight carriers as needed; posts weight and shipping charges and maintains shipment records.
• Researches and validates customer claims of wrong shipments, missing parts or defective products; generates transactions to correct errors.
