Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Shelby, OH is hiring a Material Handler for the 2nd shift (2:00pm–10:00pm) at a pay of $20.60 per hour. You will operate forklifts, move inventory, perform inspections, track parts with RF and WM systems, and support 6S housekeeping.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift training with MTD license, RF gun knowledge, ability to lift 40 lbs, basic math, and solid communication.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift training classes and obtain an MTD forklift license.
• Ability to use an RF gun.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds consistently.
• Ability to use the scale for weigh counting.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of material handling/forklift equipment.
• Moves inventory in and out of production and warehouse areas correctly.
• Performs daily inspections on forklifts according to checklist.
• Safely maneuvers the facility on forklift.
• Correctly track parts using the RF device and WM system.
• Perform on-the job training as needed.
• Responsible for daily 6S activities (housekeeping, organized and safe work area).
• Cross train in all areas of Material Handling.
• Work assigned overtime when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
