Job description

DC-Berlin

The Material Handler may fulfill multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment to help fulfill the overall mission of processing inbound and/or outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely.

Major Activities
  1. Perform various functions in a Distribution Center, such as fulfilling orders for retail stores and other Distribution Centers. Potential roles include Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, eComm order fulfillment, Hybrid throwing, Loading, and other specialized roles requiring additional training or experience (e.g., Inventory Control). May use manual and/or powered industrial equipment and RF guns.
  2. Document production logs accurately, including changes in assignments, downtime, meetings, etc., to ensure productivity records are precise.
  3. Complete other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Minimum Special Certifications or Technical Skills
  • Basic computer skills for specific roles.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills for certain roles.
  • Good record-keeping with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment preferred.
  • Basic warehouse or Distribution Center knowledge recommended; success in a production environment is helpful.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 60 pounds.
  • Frequent pushing or pulling of materials or equipment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting.
  • Repetitive motion involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures, depending on climate and proximity to dock doors.
  • Moderate noise level from conveyor, sortation systems, and equipment.
  • Occasional vibration when operating powered equipment.
  • Potential exposure to fumes and airborne particles.

Compensation Range

$17.10 - $21.10
