Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler - Fabrication to load/unload steel plates, operate overhead cranes, and stage materials for ongoing production.
You will work with forklifts and yard equipment, perform ERP transactions, and ensure safe, organized work areas while collaborating with operators and supervisors for timely scheduling.

Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Load and unload steel plate to and from laser tables and kinetic tables using overhead cranes.
Utilize overhead cranes (up to 10-ton capacity) to load and unload steel plate from trucks and trailers.
Collect burned parts from cutting tables and transport parts to designated staging or next-operation areas.
Sort, store, and organize plate remnants; properly place usable material in inventory locations and scrap material in designated scrap areas.
Stage and organize steel plate based on upcoming jobs to support efficient production and prepare operators for scheduled work.
Operate forklifts to move pallets, parts, and materials safely throughout the fabrication bay.
Operate yard truck and trailer to transport steel plate and materials between buildings as required.
Complete required transactions, paperwork, and material movements within the ERP system accurately and timely.
Use basic math skills to verify material quantities, sizes, and job requirements.
Maintain work area, equipment, and material storage locations in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and team members to support production flow and scheduling needs.
Maintain regular and reliable attendance in accordance with company expectations.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
Minimum of 1 year of experience operating overhead cranes of at least 2-ton capacity.
Experience using rigging equipment, including hooks, preferred.
Basic computer skills, including ability to complete transactions in an ERP system.
Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures.
Basic math skills required for verifying material quantities and dimensions.
Safety-driven mindset with a commitment to following established procedures.
The employee is required to stand for extended periods throughout the workday. Job duties require frequent reaching, kneeling, and stepping up and down from laser tables, as well as regular use of hands and arms. The position may require moving or transferring materials using overhead cranes, forklifts, or stand-up equipment. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs. is required on an occasional basis. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
