Job summary

Piston Automotive is seeking a Master Scheduler to ensure continuous material supply for production and 100% on-time delivery to customers such as Ford, Chrysler, GM, Honda, and others. You will coordinate material status, production priorities and delivery commitments, supervise materials staff, and monitor systems as required by customers.

The role includes PFEP execution, 5S compliance, and collaboration with engineering and production to meet schedules and minimize obsolescence.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience as Master Scheduler or related
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field
• Eight years of PFEP experience
• Eight years of 5S experience
• Eight years of intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) experience

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned areas, required material and suppliers, incl. problem resolution.
• Coordinate engineering changes and build schedules with suppliers and production to meet customer expectations and minimize obsolescence.
• Analyze MRP/ RPS daily/weekly, issue 862/830 to supplier to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
• Coordinate expedites of material from suppliers as needed to support production schedule and meet customer requirements.
• Participate in and execute a Plan for Every Part (PFEP).
• Prepare performance data, reports and metrics to support the company's goals.
• Schedule transportation to and from the plant following customer guidelines.
• Manage inventory: right-size, cycle counts, investigate discrepancies to avoid shortages.
• Lead and coach materials team on systems, policies, procedures.
• Maintain 5S with signage for all materials storage locations.
