Job summary

The Manufacturing Technician maintains all machines in good working order, troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical or electrical failures. Assists Technicians in other departments within the section. Works closely with Central Engineering Group on projects to upgrade equipment.

Under general supervision receives instructions by way of electronic transmission, verbal, or written from Supervisor regarding production, maintenance or troubleshooting task.

Qualifications

• AA degree in a relevant field with 2+ years experience.
• Blue print/schematic reading.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures, perform repairs.
• Collaborate with Engineering on equipment upgrades.
• Verify inspections units and machine readiness before start-up.
• Oversee safety of personnel and machinery in the department.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance; handle emergency repairs.
• Support project teams with ideas for performance improvement.
