Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense is hiring a Manufacturing Tech I for the 2nd shift in Tucson, AZ. The role processes components through the liner process, sets up and runs machinery, and reads blueprints to ensure correct fabrication.

The candidate will maintain a clean, safe work area, perform quality checks, and complete production logs. A high school diploma or GED and ability to read/write English are required; overtime may be needed. ITAR/EAR compliance applies, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED required.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must follow detailed instructions, do accurate work at a rapid pace and meet scheduling deadlines.
• Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out complex, repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
• Available to work overtime as required.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee must be able to carry/lift up to 40 pounds and rotate items being handled.
• Work on feet for entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
• Responsible for setting up and operating machinery in support of the production process.
• Performs operations per specifications on drawing/print and documented procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area at all times.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and machines.
• Ability to read blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Complete daily production logs as required.
• Complete required equipment maintenance checks.
• Responsible for complying with internal quality systems and procedures.
