Job summary

IDEX Corporation is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Technician in Farmington, CT. The role involves operating and maintaining semiconductor filtration production equipment, performing testing and inspection, and ensuring traceability and cleanliness across wet and dry processes.

The position requires the ability to work independently, follow procedures, and participate in continuous improvement while supporting overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education beneficial.
• Hands-on manufacturing/assembly/inspection experience preferred.
• Experience using common hand tools and equipment.
• Experience in cleanroom, semiconductor, medical device, aerospace, or other controlled manufacturing is preferred.
• Follows work instructions and defined processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and structured troubleshooting.
• Operates and monitors technical process equipment.
• Maintains accurate documentation and serialization.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor specialized equipment and inspection systems.
• Perform in-process testing, visual inspection, and rework as needed.
• Complete logs, traceability, labels, and quality documentation accurately.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and equipment checks.
• Identify and elevate equipment, process, quality, and cleanliness issues.
• Contribute to root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Propose improvements to reduce defects and increase reliability.
• Maintain high-purity cleanliness across processes.
• Learn new processes and retain training.
• Work independently with limited supervision and demonstrate sound judgment.
