Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, seeks a manufacturing leader responsible for multiple work centers to achieve safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals. Develops personnel, ensures MoMs/MAIs compliance, and drives continuous improvement.

Leads cross-functional programs using data analysis and CAPA to close performance gaps; collaborates with HR and Engineering to reduce disruptions and improve productivity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years of leadership/supervisory experience.
• Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma certification or pursuing.
• Proficient in ERP systems (IFS, SAP, Oracle).
• Able to read/interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Analyzes production data and reports performance vs goals.
• Drives safety, quality, and productivity improvements.
• Interfaces with Engineering to resolve design issues.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with metal fabrication or power generation equipment preferred.

Job Summary:

Leads three or more production work centers to achieve safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals. Manages multiple work centers and manufacturing disciplines, monitoring performance and reinforcing operational discipline. Leads manufacturing-driven projects and cross-functional initiatives based on data analysis and customer feedback. Develops personnel to meet production forecasts and performance expectations. Ensures compliance with Methods of Manufacture (MoMs) and Manufacturing Assembly Instructions (MAIs) and partners with production leadership to identify cost-saving and continuous improvement opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills):

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years’ experience.

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the assembly of power generation equipment and/or metal fabrication.

• 4+ years of leadership and/or supervisory experience

• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certified, or actively pursuing.

• Leads multiple manufacturing disciplines and work centers to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.

• Proficient in ERP systems used in manufacturing environments (IFS, SAP, Oracle preferred).

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, operational manuals, safety rules, and standardized work instructions.
