ICP Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Tampa, FL team. You will maintain mechanical equipment including pumps, piping, valves and sensors to keep production running.

The role requires independent judgment, strong safety focus, and collaboration with the maintenance team to implement process improvements. Compensation ranges from $25.00 to $32.00 per hour with a $1.75 shift differential and Monday–Friday 3:00pm–11:30pm hours.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent with trades experience.
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting experience.
  • Ability to develop and read various P&ID types.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and piping systems, electrical devices and tools.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Good communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair pumps, piping, valves and sensors.
  • Perform preventative, calibration, and predictive maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose problems by inspections and testing and take corrective action.
  • Maintain records for installation, removal and troubleshooting systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors and support process improvements.
  • Read and interpret drawings and P&ID diagrams when needed.
  • Work as part of a maintenance team to maximize equipment uptime.

ICP Group is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tampa, FL. The Maintenance Technician provides technical expertise and maintains mechanical equipment such as pumps, agitators, chillers, compressors, piping, valves, switches, starters, relays, and sensors. In this position, you will be a critical member of our maintenance team requiring independent judgement, communication, and participation. We foster mutual respect with all involved to determine the means to accomplish implementation of desired changes for process improvement, regulatory compliance, and other various needs to support daily plant operations.

Compensation: $25.00 to $32.00/hour plus $1.75 shift differential. Actual pay is dependent on candidates’ overall skills for the role. The hours are Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm

In this role you will be responsible for the following:
  • Conduct, develop and maintain records for installation, removal, and troubleshooting systems (Pumps, Piping, Valves, Pneumatics, Motor Starters, Wiring logic, etc.)
  • Mechanical (pneumatic/hydraulic, power transmission, lubrication, seals, joints, fasteners), Electrical (wiring, contactors, relays), and Electronic (sensors, instrumentation, hardware) skills will be utilized to maintain a continuous stream of production through installation, commissioning, removal, troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment
  • Diagnosing and correct problems/issues through inspections and testing
  • Execute preventative, calibration, and predictive maintenance schedules
  • Respond to reactive and corrective maintenance requests
  • Use tools including common hand tools, power tools, lifting tools, precision measuring tools, and electronic test gear
  • Assist in system development, improvement, and design
  • Develop or interpret drawings of existing systems when necessary to assist in troubleshooting and installation
  • Work as a part of a maintenance team to accomplish maximum equipment uptime
  • As an independent self-starter, understand changing priorities, and focus energies appropriately
  • Help direct contractors to execute other scheduled work
  • Utilize Process Safety Management for hazardous environments in day-to-day operations
  • Ability to work overtime and weekend work when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned or as business needs require to the best of your ability

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED with Tradesman or equivalent experience; prefer an associate degree within a STEM related field with maintenance experience
  • Critical thinking (troubleshooting) experience
  • Ability to Develop and read various P&ID types
  • Knowledge of Mechanical and Piping Systems, Electrical Devices, and Test Equipment
  • Familiarity with CMMS, Predictive Maintenance Techniques, Continuous Improvement Programs, and Root Cause Analysis
  • Good computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office products
  • Good organization skills and attention to detail
  • Solid interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high pressure time critical environment, and change priorities based on needs
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Strong safety mindset with independent work ethic
  • Leadership skills with the ability to manage and direct teams
  • Able to work overtime, including weekends, when required
  • May be required to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors
  • Individual may be required to handle hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Individual may be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment such as: Respirators, FR Clothing, Chemical Resistant Gloves, Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear, Face shield, etc.
  • Ability to work closely with chemicals or bio-substances found in laboratory or production facilities
