Job summary

IPG is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the 2nd shift in its Operations department. The role focuses on supervising daily production, ensuring safe operation of equipment, and coordinating workforce and materials to meet goals.

Immediate supervisor is the Manufacturing Manager; status is Exempt Salaried. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field) or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years in manufacturing and strong leadership, communication, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership experience in a role such as Team Lead or supervisor strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional motivator, skilled in leading teams and conflict resolution skills.
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt strongly preferred.
• Ability to supervise fast-paced industrial environment.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP software, required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, supervises, and directs daily production operations with an ability to anticipate and alleviate production problems, such as material shortages, equipment malfunctions, and employee-related situations, to minimize loss of work hours and achieve production and quality goals for the shift.
• Exchanges timely information with other supervisors, internal and external to the designated department, on product flow, and workforce needs.
• Coaches, instructs, trains, orients, and motivates employees to achieve production and quality objectives in a safe and effective manner.
• Initiates and manages departmental teams to achieve desired goals.
• Primarily responsible for coaching and developing hourly employees utilizing the hourly certification system for production departments.
