Job summary

RTX seeks a 2nd shift Manufacturing Engineer to provide primary floor support, maintain work instructions, and create routings in Solumina. You will drive tooling design, implement corrective actions, and push continuous improvements to reduce costs. You will troubleshoot non-conforming hardware and lead readiness for development activities.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with operations to deliver reliable manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting production issues
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary 2nd shift manufacturing engineering support for the production floor
• Maintain job instruction sheets to current requirements
• Create and update routings in Solumina
• Work non-conforming hardware through rework and RCCA activities
• Design and order new/replacement tooling to support operations
• Make systematic improvements to drive manufacturing costs down
• Utilizing data, characterize process failures using root cause investigations implementing corrective actions and mistake-proofing
• Identify and implement improvement and automation projects
• Drive all manufacturing readiness levels for all activities in development
