Job summary

JohnsByrne is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure optimal machinery performance in a manufacturing setting. You will conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires a High School diploma (technical certification preferred) and at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience. Strong safety compliance and collaborative skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
• Proven experience with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment diagnostics.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure their optimal performance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and perform timely repairs to minimize production disruptions.
• Collaborate with the production team to understand equipment needs and address any operational concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment as needed.
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and tools, and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other staff members.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
