UGN in Valparaiso, Indiana, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift to install, repair, and maintain machinery and electrical equipment. Entry-level or basic mechanical skills are acceptable, with a pay range of $30–$35 per hour plus benefits.

Responsibilities include wiring, connecting, troubleshooting, replacing motors, and diagnosing hydraulic/pneumatic components. Candidates should have a certificate or diploma and 2+ years of related experience; strong communication is a must.

Formación

• One-year certificate from college or technical school.
• High school diploma.
• 2+ years or more of related experience in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present information clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment (robots, conveyors, presses, PLCs).
• Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment; connect cables and wires between machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot transformers, motor controls, and lighting fixtures; replace damaged wires and parts.
• Replace electric motors and rewire motors.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components; communicate tasks to leaders before leaving area.
