Job summary

The Indianapolis-Marion County Building Authority is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and building automation systems across Authority facilities in Indianapolis. You will follow directions from the Maintenance Supervisor and ensure reliable operation of critical building systems.

The role requires EPA/ACM certifications, a valid Indiana driver’s license, and ability to work at heights and in varying

Qualifications

• EPA and ACM certifications required or clearly demonstrated equivalence.
• High School Diploma or higher is required.
• Valid Indiana Driver’s License and ability to travel as needed.
• Experience with pneumatic/electronic controls and building automation systems.
• Extensive experience with HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing systems.
• Ability to work safely at varying heights and in different weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair for HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
• Monitor and service building automation systems across Authority facilities.
• Maintain and repair smoke and fire evacuation systems and related controls.
• Assist other departments and follow established safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean work area and comply with all Building Authority policies.
