Job summary

Cad Engineering Resources Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Sterling Heights, MI to support manufacturing operations through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems.

The position is a contract, open-ended with a second shift 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday–Friday, with weekends and overtime as scheduled. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and a solid electrical background, with experience in repairing equipment, assembly

Qualifications

Strong mechanical aptitude with solid electrical troubleshooting experience.
Experience with equipment repair and assembly automation repair.
Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems repair; light fabrication and MIG welding.
Understanding of Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and basic industrial safety practices.
Ability to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs on manufacturing tools, equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automation-related issues.
Support equipment uptime via preventive/corrective maintenance.
Diagnose and repair assembly automation systems and production tools.
Troubleshoot electrical controls, motor controls, drives (VFDs), relays and sensors.
Perform light fabrication and MIG welding; follow LOTO procedures and maintain safety.
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
Maintain maintenance records and communicate repair status.
