Magic Steel Grand Rapids is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift to ensure uptime and longevity of all critical equipment. Responsibilities cover preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety in a fast-paced steel facility.

The position requires collaboration with production teams and the ability to lift 50 lbs, stand on concrete, and work safely with hydraulic and electrical systems. Training on 1st shift for 90 days precedes the transition to 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years related experience or training.
• Practical electrical experience, including wiring and components.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work while standing on concrete for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with production to address equipment issues and maintain operations.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment per schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems to optimize performance.
• Operate workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.
