Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Operator to keep our manufacturing facility running safely and efficiently. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and complete repairs as needed.

Ideal candidates are mechanically inclined, comfortable with a variety of tools, and able to work independently to identify and resolve issues. This is a hands-on, on-site role supporting continuous production.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or related education preferred; equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing preventative and routine equipment maintenance.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and/or electronic testing devices.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.
• Dependable with strong follow-through.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining focus and productivity.
• Professional attitude and commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance according to established schedules.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and equipment issues.
• Perform general repairs and maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility structures.
• Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove and replace defective components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, and perform routine inspections of equipment and facility systems.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments and electronic testing devices when needed.
• Assist with and oversee outside contractors when specialized repairs are required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
