Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in maintenance technician role preferred.
  • Experience in diagnosis and repair of electromechanical systems.
  • Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred.

Position Summary

In this job, you will contribute to the success of Regal Rexnord /New Berlin Couplingby keeping the facilities, machinery and production equipment performing safely and effectively with the resources and management techniques provided by the company.


Responsibilities

  • Work safely, respecting the environmental health safety guidelines (cardinal rules).
  • Carry out corrective maintenance on electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical systems, in addition to making set up adjustments.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ability to become proficient in using the CMMS (accurate recording keeping, equipment history, preventative maintenance, and down time).
  • Identify parts for replacement in machinery and equipment based on equipment manual and/or parts identification information.
  • Make modifications and improvements to production and building equipment.
  • Ability to perform work at heights at or above four feet.
  • Work with engineering/management to implement process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Assist in maintaining the building, such as changing light bulbs, basic welding, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.
  • Effectively communicate and relay information to management and operators both in person and via e-mail.
  • Prioritize tasks on a daily basis with guidance from Maintenance Supervisor or Production Manager.
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory and condition of provided tools.
  • Adhere to Regal Rexnord 6s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Experience and Skill Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience of 2+ years or more in a maintenance technician role preferred.
  • Experience in diagnosis and repair of electromechanical and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience in the use of hand and powered tools (provided by company).
  • Basic welding/fabrication skills preferred.
  • Proven experience with the Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and understand the operation of process specific equipment.
  • Willingness to adapt promptly to sudden changes in work priorities.
  • Sit down forklift certification preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.


Physical Requirements

  • 40-50 work hours a week depending on production demands.
  • Overtime may be required as needed to meet production demands, including working Saturdays.
  • Must be able to traverse the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time with assistance.
