Job summary

Stier Supply Company is seeking a hands-on 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to support reactive and preventive maintenance of machinery and facility systems. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, assist with installations, and help keep shop areas clean and organized in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires mechanical inclination, basic electrical knowledge, and comfort working with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Qualifications

  • Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Broad understanding of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Experience in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.
  • Industrial, electrical, or welding certifications and/or a technical degree are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems.
  • Diagnose issues, make repairs, and adjust machinery as needed.
  • Assist with dismantling equipment to repair or replace defective components.
  • Support installation of new plant equipment and perform installation tasks when able.
  • Assist with electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs.
  • Maintain building systems, including lighting and ballasts.
  • Operate shop tools and maintenance-related machinery.
  • Keep shop areas clean, organized, stocked, and inventoried.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks safely and on schedule.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Inspect and support work by outside contractors.

You’ll work closely with other departments and team members, tackle a variety of mechanical and basic electrical tasks, and play a key role in minimizing downtime.We’re currently seeking a hands-2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to help keep our equipment, machinery, and facility operating safely and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform reactive and preventive maintenance on machinery and facility systems

Physical Requirements
  • Heavy Lifting: Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing/Walking: Frequent movement between storage areas and loading docks (up to 8-10 hours/day)
  • Physical Endurance: Work in the warehouse and sometimes outdoors in various weather conditions, and frequently bend, twist, and reach overhead..
Additional Requirements
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, background check, and health and physical evaluation.
