Job summary
United Gear & Assembly, located in Hudson, WI, seeks a Maintenance Tech Apprentice for 2nd shift. This full-time role involves troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems, fabricating parts, and performing routine maintenance on a range of equipment.
The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related experience or vocational training. The position offers a $2,000 retention bonus, immediate start, and a strong benefits package
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 4 year’s experience or trade school/vocational training.
- Willingness to learn and perform multiple duties as needed.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns on a variety of equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnose and repair facility equipment and HVAC as needed.
- Perform basic fabrication, carpentry and welding tasks.
- Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment.
- Work from ladders and man lifts; comply with safety standards.
- Support production with irregular hours and weekend coverage.
