Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing’s Richmond, KY plant seeks a 2nd shift Maintenance Supervisor to support production through planning, preventive maintenance, and problem solving. You will supervise the maintenance team, coach staff, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time performance.

Requirements include a minimum of 10 years related experience or a HS diploma with 3–5 years, a Bachelor’s degree preferred, strong problem solving, teamwork, and proficiency with micrometers and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of related experience and/or training; or HS Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a 4-year college or university or HS Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills; ability to coach and train staff.

Responsibilities

  • Manage maintenance processes with accuracy and discipline.
  • Coach and assist employees with problem solving; train and keep records of training.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on time and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor safety, housekeeping, and overall team performance; conduct toolbox talks daily.

The maintenance group leader monitors Quality, Safety, and Efficiency of the maintenance team to ensure that customer (internal and external) needs are met. Maintenance Supervisors are also moral builders and responsible for creating a positive work environment for all employees and solve problems as a team.**What You’ll Do:*** Manage processes with detailed accuracy, and discipline.* Coaches and assist all employees with problem solving.* Teaches, trains, and keeps accurate records of training.* Ensures all quality standards are met.* Ensures that preventive maintenance activities are performed properly and on-time.* Pays close attention to detail.
