Job summary

ARC Abrasives, Inc. in Troy, MI is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production operations.

You will support preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability; training on 1st shift is required for several weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical docs.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must train on 1st shift for several weeks.

Responsibilities

• Safety: follow LOTO and PPE requirements and safe work at heights.
• Breakdown tracking: document downtime and labor hours in MVP.
• PM completion: integrate PMs into schedule and hit targets.
• Service/interpersonal: communicate with team and management.
• Skill competency: maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and PLC systems.
